Pass me a perfect pillow please...
Lesson #1: If you have to get used to a pillow its not a good pillow! As soon as I got my new pillow in the mail, I opened it and tried it out. I couldn't get back up. It is so comfortable and just what I needed. The level is perfect and conformed to my shape without loosing support. I ended up going to sleep without even putting a pillow case on. I know, thats totally tabu, but this pillow comes with a protective (antibacterial, hypoallergenic, dust mite resistant) case zipped on already, so I was able to wash that and put it back on with a case over it.
Lesson #2: Investing in (at the very least) a good pillow is worth every penny. Because good sleep is not overrated. Sleep, (and I mean GOOD sleep, not crappy, interrupted, uncomfortable, lousy sleep with a little light on somewhere), GOOD SLEEP brings down inflammation, sharpens brain power and creativity, aids in detoxification from the day, restores muscles and gives your body some time to heal. All of this brings about a happier you, with lower stress which means a fight against depression too. If all of this plus waking up refreshed isn't enough reasons for investing in a good nights sleep every night, get this: Researchers at the University of Chicago found that dieters who were well rested lost more fat! 56 percent more weight loss (of fat) than those who were sleep deprived, who lost more muscle mass instead. Interesting right?
So don't feel guilty about treating yourself to good bedding. It's more than just that. It's more than just your sleep. Its your waking life that benefits too :-)
